In a special initiative for the centenary of The Waste Land in 2022, the Eliot Estate has invited theatre-makers, dramatists, choreographers, video artists, composers and artists to respond to the poem. While Eliot was opposed to settings or stagings of The Waste Land, the Estate has said that “throughout 2022, it would be delighted to help facilitate some projects, adaptations or use of The Waste Land that might ordinarily be judged to be too counter to Eliot’s proscriptions.” Applications for such permission should be made directly to email@example.com
